Therapy


Following the assessment, I will discuss with you what Intervention your child would benefit from. This might be providing tailored advice, a programme of targeted activities to be carried out at home and or school, or it may be that your child would benefit from some direct speech and language therapy sessions. These sessions might take place in the home, at pre-school or at school.
I take a child centred approach to my therapy services. I like to combine a range of different therapeutic techniques, and tailor them to the individual needs and learning style of your child. Sessions are play based and are designed to be fun for your child to make them feel at ease, and to give them the best opportunities to develop their skills.

With your agreement I can work with pre-school or school staff to support your child’s development. This involvement could be in a number of forms and for example may consist of training, modelling or providing an intervention plan.
