About Me

​I have 20 years of experience working with children of all ages, and with a wide variety of support needs.  I am a highly qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist and am passionate about supporting children  with communication needs and their parents and carers. I am based in the Ashdown Forest area, and am able to see children up to 19 years of age in the towns of East Grinstead, Crowborough, Haywards Heath, Uckfield, Lewes and their surrounding villages.  

 

I strive for my approach to be neurodiversity affirming; I support children in developing their communication skills in a meaningful way and therapy is tailored to meet their individual needs.  I can cater for a wide range of support needs; including;

• Speech Sound Disorder

• Children with Delayed Speech Sound Disorder

• Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)

• Cerebral Palsy

• Down Syndrome

• Autistic children

• Gestalt Language Processors

• Speaking and structuring sentences (expressive language)

• Children who require Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems

I am able to offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of individual children, including:

• Comprehensive assessment

• Home based therapy sessions

• Nursery and school based therapy sessions

• Training for parents, carers and school staff

• Creating and supporting Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems

• Creating and supporting home and school based speech, language and communication programs

 

I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCST), registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of  Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).
